Our 2-3 year old campers were inspired by the story “Pete’s a Pizza.” The campers acted out the story by becoming a pizza themselves. They added flour (cotton), cheese (pieces of paper), sauce (buttons) to their bodies to recreate the story. We also enjoyed a frozen banana treat after splash day.
Our 4 year old campers used their imagination to recreate recipes for fairies. Campers explored the grounds at PJS to find ingredients to add to their fairy potion. They shaped a personalized cheese cracker treat for themselves to enjoy!
Our 5-9 year old campers worked together to create their own restaurant. From menus and space design to cooking and serving, campers’ creativity have been working at full-blast this week to ensure that our customers tomorrow have an outstanding experience. This week, students were busy in the kitchen cooking soft-pretzels, pasta sauce, angel food cake and they even made mint chocolate chip ice cream. They also made decorations using the natural elements from the gardens surrounding the school.
We hope you are able to try out some of the recipes you received via email again!
