Who can attend camp?
Children ages 2 through Grade 5 can participate in our summer camps. You do not have to be a student at Princeton Junior School to attend camp.
Who are your counselors?
We seek to hire a staff that is energetic, professional and experts in their fields. Our counselors are early childhood professionals from Princeton Junior School's faculty and staff. Assistant counselors who have experience working with young children support our staff. All summer camp counselors complete thorough background checks.
What are the drop-off and pick-up procedures?
Before Care drop off is from 7:45-9:00.
The first set of red doors is always open. The second set is always locked. Please ring bell or knock for a staff member to let you in. Everyone must be signed in at the summer camp desk. There is a $15 fee for all drop ins.
Regular Drop-off begins at 8:50 am.
Curiosity campers( grades 1-5): Parents may use the drop off circle outside our front door. A summer camp counselor will be there to assist your child out of the car until 9:10. If you arrive after 9:10, please walk your child into the building and sign them in at the camp sign in table.
Art and Nature Campers ( ages 2-5): You must escort your child in the building, sign them in at the summer camp desk, drop off their belongings in their cubby, and meet your child's counselor on the playground.
Half Day Pick up is at 12:00.
All Half Day Campers: Please sign your child out at the summer camp desk and pick your child up on the playground or in their classroom.
Regular pick-up takes place at 3pm.
Curiosity campers( grades 1-5): Parents may use the pick up circle outside our front door. A summer camp counselor will be there to assist your child into the car until 3:10. If you arrive after 3:10, please sign your child out at the summer camp desk and pick your child up from aftercare.
Art and Nature Campers ( ages 2-5): You must come in the building, sign them out at the summer camp desk, pick up their belongings in their cubby, and meet your child on the playground.
Aftercare pick up is from 3:00-5:30.

What will my child's day be like?
Our programs and activities are designed to inspire your child's imagination. We provide a balance between indoor and outdoor activities each day. There will be a showcase of your child's work on the last day of each session. Full Days include lunch and a snack break.
Are there any water activities at camp?
Yes.
Children ages 2-5 enrolled in Art & Nature Camp participate in Water Play Wednesdays at Princeton Junior School! From pools, water tables and sprinklers, there is plenty of time to splash and soak at camp. Check out the "What to Bring" section so you are all prepared for the summer fun ahead!
Children in grades 1-5 enrolled in Curiosity Camp may have a day where they play water play games. Your camp counselor will let you know ahead of time if there are water play games occurring. Your child may wear a bathing suit or bring a change of clothes. A swim lesson once a week is offered for Session 1 of our Curiosity Camp for full day campers only.
What if my young child doesn't nap?
We are required by law to provide a daily rest time for all children ages 2-5. Children are able to read or do a quiet activity after the allotted rest time is over.
How will I be updated on my child's day at camp?
Our camp blog is a great way to stay tuned into the happenings at summer camp. Through this website, parents and family members will be able to read a weekly blog about camp and view pictures from the week. Click on the "Blog" tab to read excerpts from past summers. Families are also invited at the end of each week to our Friday Showcase where they will be able to experience their child's projects from the week.
