Art and Nature Camp 2019 Themes
"Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty."- John Ruskin
Summer is a time of light, color and warmth in nature that inspires children to connect and wonder at the natural world. The REIMAGINE Summer Art and Nature Camp encourages children to observe, reflect, ask questions and enter into a place of wonder and joy in nature. Through inquiry based learning we will explore the natural world through time spent on our beautiful 7 acre campus. We will look at how nature expresses itself through form, color and pattern, building and design, and in the living creatures and plant life all around us. Artistic expression is at the center of our day, through which we can explore ideas and observations in a different language. Gaining love and respect for the natural world, confidence in promoting their own ideas, and expressing themselves through art and and work, we create a space for children to develop a greater sense of wonder in nature and joyfulness in art and play.
