This week PJS campers consider the possibilities of colors. We are using many different art mediums as we work to build a fine arts gallery for our Friday Showcase. Our Princeton Junior School Artist in Residence, Perry Milou, is working with campers this week on a group mixed media project.
Today the children worked together on a large scale canvas to create a pop art rendition of the American flag. In the first step of this project, the children blended paint across the canvas. It was wonderful to see the children's unique painting styles blend together to create such a beautiful piece of art. We will continue to add layers to this project throughout the week.
Curiosity Campers began sculpting with clay. They sketched designs and then turned them into three-dimensional models. Today they colored their sketches and worked on painting their clay pieces. We can't wait to share all our projects with you on Friday!
