During the "Reimagine Structures" and "Build a Fort" week, campers learned how to think like an engineer by planning and
Our 5-10 year old campers spent this week planning and building their own fort. Campers discussed the components of a blueprint and its purpose. In this discussion, they thought about materials that they may need to build a fort and began to think like an architect. Campers planned their fort by creating their own blueprints and modeled their ideas with blocks in the commons. After several discussions about blueprints (planning) and structures (building), our curious campers were ready to begin building their fort. Materials used for the fort include bamboo, rocks, tree stumps, sticks, and flowers.
We hope to see many families tomorrow for our campers showcase (Don't forget to bring a sheet for our inside fort and wear your pajamas)!

It was interesting to see each campers creativity emerge as they continued to build their structure. Our 5-10 year old campers spent this week planning and building their own fort.
