Our Global Sound Artists have been hard at work learning about instruments and music from around the world! They have also been creating instruments themselves! The students created Pan Flutes from Ecuador, Spinning Drums from Japan, and mini guitars by using rubber bands and plastic tubs. They have been studying vibration and sound waves and learning all sorts of musical words and terms.
We have been communicating with our Global Partners from the Country of India and sending videos back and forth about our interests and life experiences. We are looking forward to cooking some traditional Indian food later this week. We are excited to try out some new exotic flavors!
Our creations will be displayed at our Showcase on Friday. We hope to see you then!
Until then please enjoy the music in your lives! Try sharing with your children what types of music you enjoy so that they can learn more about you too!
