This week our 4 and 5 year old campers learned that making and flying a kite is actually much more challenging than it looks! Campers worked together and used skills in math, science, and art to create their very own kites. They were constructed from recyclable materials such as brown paper bags, plastic straws, and Popsicle sticks. They learned that it is important for kites to be sturdy, especially when it’s a windy day! When campers were finished with their projects we went to the top of the playground hill to test our new creations! When we came back inside we asked, what can we do to make our kites better?
